The Prayer for Healing
James 5:14 (KJV)
“Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord” – James 5:14 (KJV)
Sickness is something that no one wants to experience. Everyone would like to live healthily all the days of their lives.
We all long to receive good reports from the physicians upon the completion of every physical examination. For many, this is not the reality since the human body is subject to wear and tear. Moreover, the lifestyle choices we make on a daily basis affect us negatively at times. As a result, we get sick and experience all kinds of discomforts in our bodies. Additionally, if not recognised, acknowledged, and remedied or mitigated, we can suffer as a result of generational sicknesses and diseases from our ancestry.
But the good news is that in the midst of devastation, there is always hope; we just need to see it and believe. God, the creator of the universe, cannot lie. Whatever He promised in His Word, He shall bring it to pass once we believe. One such promise is healing for all diseases (Psalm 41:3, 103:3-5, Titus 1:2).
Friends, as you read this devotion, the question is: “Are you sick, or do you know someone who is sick?” If the answer is yes, then the next step is to get the help needed for positive change to occur. Therefore, in addition to heeding the advice of your physician and making positive lifestyle changes, pray, have faith in God, and believe and obey His Word.
Right now, wherever you are, you can call upon those with the spiritual authority (elders) to anoint you, pray the prayer of faith, and trust Jehovah Rapha to heal every sickness regardless of its origin. Elatedly, you can also receive forgiveness for your sins as you surrender your life to Christ. Acts 16:31 says, “…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…”
Beloved, refuse to suffer in silence. Sickness is not your portion. There is help available for you once you believe! Access it immediately.
